HHL's Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is a management program
taught entirely in English and especially designed for talented and
ambitious individuals seeking managerial positions with multinational
corporations operating in Germany or Europe. Because the MBA is a
graduate degree, students admitted into the MBA program are required to
have completed an undergraduate college or university degree but this
degree may be in an academic discipline other than business. Talented
and motivated students of the natural sciences, engineering, law and
the humanities are qualified to undertake MBA studies.
HHL's English language MBA is designed for (1) Germans seeking to
develop the skills and qualifications by firms engaged in international
business and (2) international students and young professionals seeking
managerial positions with firms either based in Germany or Europe or
with significant operations here.
HHL, founded in 1898 and located in an historically trade-oriented
city, is Germany's oldest business school. The high quality of HHL's
MBA program was recognized recently by the financial journal
EconomicaAmerica, which ranked the HHL MBA among the top 50 worldwide,
the top 12 in Europe and the best in Germany, and has a record of
placing graduates with prominent international firms-including Arthur
Andersen, BASF, Bayer, Bertelsmann, Booz Allen & Hamilton, Boston
Consulting Group, Daimler-Chrysler, Deutsche Bank, Ernst & Young,

Admission to HHL's MBA program is highly competitive: Non-native
English speakers must score a minimum of 250 on the computer-based (or
a minimum of 600 on the paperbased version) Test of English as a
Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submission of the Graduate Management
Admissions Test (GMAT) is required. Admission is also based on other
criteria such as academic and professional achievement and letters of
recommendation.
The MBA program begins in early September and runs for 15 months
including a three-month international management project normally with
a multinational firm.
