The ESSEC & MANNHEIM Executive MBA Program is the result of a long-lasting, close cooperation between the renowned French business school ESSEC and the Mannheim Business School. It was designed to reach one goal: prepare executives for the challenges of leadership. The program provides successful managers having a professional experience of at least five years a world-class executive education. The curriculum comprises a sophisticated set of elements that will help you to reach your goal as you aim for the highest executive positions. The interplay of elements – such as individual work, international residencies, and conferences – enable program participants to acquire an integrated and systematic perspective on European and international business matters. The concept provides innovative approaches to decision-making and problem-solving processes and enables participants to refine their key skills in communications, people management, leadership and teamwork.
Besides the regular course modules, an “Entrepreneurial Project”, a “Class Project”, international residencies, conferences with high-calibre senior experts and coaching sessions for individuals and groups are important elements of the curriculum.
ESSEC & MANNHEIM’s Executive MBA program is flexible enough to enable you to pursue your career while developing your skills. The structural flexibility provided by modular and weekend tracks allows you to fit our program into your personal schedule.
The modular format, which was established in 2004, is organized into eight 6-day modules spread over 18 months. In between these, extensive individual and team work is required. Four modules take place each in Mannheim and Paris respectively. Additional course locations for 5-day seminars are Madrid, Brussels and Budapest. An overseas residency is normally organized by participants in the context of the class project and is held in Asia.
The weekend format started in March 2006. It is a 19-month course of studies, which is also aimed at managers who have at least five years of professional experience. It comprises 33 weekend modules, which take place in Mannheim every other week on Fridays and Saturdays. Additionally, there are several four- to five-day residencies held at partner institutions abroad.
Not only is the program international, but the participants are as well. You learn and work in a multicultural community that promotes the understanding of different perspectives. The various education and professional backgrounds of our program participants open up new ways of thinking – a crucial aspect of self-development and career advancement in today’s global world.
