MANNHEIM & TONGJI Executive MBA

Mannheim Business School (MBS) and Tongji University in Shanghai have long been leading institutions for management education on their respective continents. The two institutions have now joined forces and created a new degree program featuring innovative content and a unique structure. The MANNHEIM & TONGJI Executive MBA will give executives from around the world the skills and tools they need for positions in international top management.

The structure of the MANNHEIM & TONGJI Executive MBA program is tailored to meet the requirements of executives, and provides a high degree of flexibility. The participants must complete six modules, which last nine to eleven days, covering a variety of management disciplines. The modules are equally split between the two institutions, with Mannheim Business School delivering three modules and Tongji University the other three. The program can be completed within a 18-month period; however, students are able to take breaks or to only take individual courses within a module. In order to attain the MBA degree, students need to complete all course and other academic requirements within a maximum of five years.

The MANNHEIM & TONGJI Executive MBA comprises several curriculum elements, including training in key qualifications essential for leadership positions, guest lectures, and excursions. The program provides participants with in-depth insight into different aspects of the corporate world and enhances their knowledge of the Asian and European business cultures. A central feature of the program is the Master Project, in which participants must work together in small groups on a project to develop a marketable business idea, including a complete business plan.

• A first undergraduate degree
• Minimum of 8 years of work experience subsequent to first degree
• Significant leadership and international experience
• Commitment, motivation, and willingness to contribute
• Good English skills (TOEFL)
• 2 reference letters
